Why these manuals exist
These manuals exist because healthcare is only accessible if people can successfully navigate it. They give clients practical knowledge to find care, ask questions, and respond when they face barriers. At the same time, they show service providers how everyday rules and practices can exclude people, and where change is needed. The goal is not only to help people get through the system, but to help build a system that is easier to access in the first place.
